Flat Earth Society

Thank you Lori for putting together a great gathering of minds and spirits
As I write this email, memories of yesterday's lunch fill me with joy and hope
We, as a planet continue on a bumpy road to the future
I am glad for comfort of friends to cushion the speed bumps and pot holes

Which brings me to the latest adventure of the Sunset Desperadoes
As the last episode ended, Dennis and Gary were saying goodbye to The Babes
As Gary was crossing 3rd street, he felt something odd about the car and
said "I think we have a flat"
"Pull over" Dennis said without needing to reference Google at all

We pulled into a parking lot of a small office building
The left rear tire was indeed flat
Gary called AAA and Dennis went to the street to flag down the truck
Unbeknownst to him, Gary saw Dennis flag down the Comcast truck
Well, he did have a yellow light on the roof
Gary did not want to say anything to embarress Dennis
So please don't pass this information on
Rachel Maddow would have a field day with it

The AAA guy was folksy and friendly and suggested we not use the doughnut
It is rated for 50 mph and should not be driven on the freeway
He found a puncture made by a nail or screw and filled the tire with air
He followed us to the Michelin dealer on Francisco
It took over an hour but we were so content from lunch, nothing mattered
A permanently patched up tire and we were on our way
We got home well in time to prepare for Game 1 of the playoffs
Go Giants!

3AM love to all

ps        Lori, can we join you and Dennis for lunch?
